Erin Lloyd, Product Designer at Aumni, has always had the view that whatever she does, it has to be meaningful and help people. At Aumni, she is able to help VCs understand their data and in turn help fund companies. “If a design I do contributes to one company getting the funding it needs because the data is cleaner, then my goal is fulfilled.”

A skill from Erin's diverse design background that has translated really well to her work at Aumni is her ability to communicate journeys and stories.
At Aumni, Erin has learned that the VC space is vast and the users are sophisticated. “Domain knowledge is paramount to being able to make good product decisions.” But don’t be intimidated, she stresses. “Everyone is willing to help you along the way. Trust yourself and your expertise, and give it time to get integrated into the domain.”
